Sun is out - horay !!

Well Spring is in the air!! After having some more miserable wet weather during January and February, the forecast for the next 7 days for West Dorset is for dry days and sunshine.

Just in time for the our lambing sesaon to get going.  We currently have 160 ewes shut in for lambing from February 5th for a month ish.  Its been a very slow start with a few singles and our first twin was born yesterday. Fingers crossed they get on with it and we are praying we don't have any with 'Schmallenberg ' Virus .

After Breakfast....................

Well Farmhouse Breakfast is over for another year.

We had another succesful day serving breakfast to approx 210 - 220 people, down by 80 ish on last year but with the snow and cold weather that was to be expected.

Great comunity spirit with all our helpers and supporters meaning we have managed to raise money for the village hall and some for Cancer Research UK.

If you missed it mark next years calender for either of the last 2 Sundays in January 2014, we may be doing it all again..................watch this space !

It's that time of year again !

OUR 13TH ANNUAL FARMHOUSE BREAKFAST

The Home Grown Cereal Authorities farmhouse breakfast week runs from the 20th-27th of January.

So come to Whitchurch Canonicorum village hall for a farmhouse breakfast and see a large scale production, usually around 350 breakfasts are cooked for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

This is our 13th year of madness but its all for a good cause of keeping our local hall going.

This year we are making a donation to Cancer Research UK

Well 2013 has arrived !

Well 2013 has begin with some more miserable wet weather !!! same as 2012 !!
