Village Hall events

We have plenty going on in our local village hall before Christmas, so come and join in. We are currently raising money for a new roof for our village hall.


- Christmas Dinner on Saturday December 5th,  - Traditional Roast Turkey and Beef carvery dinner, homemade deserts, cheese & biscuits, Coffee & mints. Raffle, Bar. A Donation will be made to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

 

- Christmas wreath making night on Monday December 7th

- Christmas Bingo on Monday December 14th

 

- Return of the Symondsbury Mummers on Friday December 11th , featuring poetry by Thomas Hardy and the Black Coffee Saxophone Quartet

 

-Film night on Monday December 21st - 'Scrooge'

Carols by candlelight on Thursday 17th of December with Mulled wine & mince pies

Costs for 7 nights is £1830, 6 nights @ £1647, 5 nights @ £1556, 4 nights @ £1464 or 3 nights minimum @ £1373. This includes VAT, Central Heating, hot water, electric, WIFI and the hot tub on ready in the shared games barn.


We also include the all beds made over the festive period which is normally £8 per person extra.

It may be possible to be flexible on dates depending on other bookings so please ask.

Family/Friends early Christmas gathering?

Have you ever thought about having family or friends early Christmas weekend together?

 

We have an extended family who have for several years booked our large S/C property for a weekend in early December. They come from all over the place and always meet up in our central location. They always put the Christmas decorations up and have a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, open presents and play games.

 

Our Self catering availability in December is

 

Taphouse Farmhouse (sleeps 16) - Friday 11th 2.30pm till Monday 14th of December 10am. Costs are £848.00, this includes VAT, C/H, hot water, electric, LPG gas for the range cooker, WIFI, logs for the fire and the hot tub ready.

 

Courthouse Dairy (sleeps 11) - Friday 4th 2.30pm till Monday 7th of December 10am, 11th-14th or 18th-21st.  Costs are £653.00, this includes VAT, C/H, hot water, electric,  WIFI, logs for the woodburner and the hot tub ready.

 

Courthouse Farmhouse (sleeps 11) - Friday 4th 2.30pm till Monday 7th of December 10am, 11th-14th or 18th-21st.  Costs are £690.00, this includes VAT, C/H, hot water, electric,  WIFI and the hot tub ready.

 

We offer a £50 reduction if its only 2 nights required and move the departure time to 4pm on the Sunday.

For September we charge £37 per adult per night, £45 for single occupancy per night and £45 per adult for single nights.

This includes full English Breakfasts with variations, along with a choice of cereals & muesli, fresh fruits, fruit & plain yogurts, fruit juices, toast with jams & marmalades,  and hot beverages.
